Vegan Japan
"Vegan Japan" is a platform for vegan news and activities in Japan. Our motto is "same heart, same life" which expresses the compassion we feel for all living beings on this planet. Our vegan lyfestyle is a positive and happy responsible lifestyle.
activities
- Vegan Japan activities include the publishing of the popular Vegan Restaurant Pocketguide, which is made with the help of volunteers.
- The weekly bilingual weblog Vegan Japan informs about the latest vegan news, gossip and events in Japan.
- Each year various Vegan Lunch Parties are organized, informal meetings at a vegan cafe for meeting with new people and lots of chatting. Everybody welcome.
- We receive veggie questions and answer them.
- We join and support activities from other organizations or people, like the Vegetarian Festivals, Anti-Fur demonstrations, etc.

Volunteers needed :
- translator who can help translating english text for the Japan Vegan blog.
- assistant who can assist with sales of the Pocketguide.

Other ways to participate :
- send info about new veggie foods, new veggie restaurants, restaurants that are closed, veggie events, or any other veggie info. We put it on the blog and share it with the website visitors.
- if you live outside Tokyo, organize your own Vegan Lunch Party. We will support you .
- share ideas.
history
2006 : the small sized "Tokyo Vegetarian Restaurant Pocketguide" was published. It was soon sold out.
2007 march : the updated "Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka Vegan restaurant Pocketguide" was published. Sold out.
2007 april : the website Vegan Japan was launched on the internet.
2008 januari : the second Vegan Lunch Party was held in the vegetarian Saishoku Kenbi in Tokyo. About 20 people participated.
2009 march : the second edition of the Japan vegan Restaurant Pocketguide is published.

Vegan Japan Lunch Tour September 2008. With a group of people we visit 3 vegan restaurants.
