Only after it becomes clear that bad eating habits causes not only fatal diseases for individual citizens (who cares, right?) but also a tremendous financial cost for the governement, the Ministry of Health is starting to get serious about fighting obesity.

Of course, the vice minister adds in the interview, one time a week a Big Mac is okay! ("we don't want to upset big business", he must have thaught)

PETA demo Tokyo and Osaka big succes.

  
Thursday june 14th PETA Asia-Pacific held a PROTEST at the Kentucky Friend Chicken in Osaka, against the barbaric treatment this company treats it's chickens.
Around 15 japanese Peta volunteers showed up, and a whole army of press.

The Tokyo protests are part of an international protest campaign to convince Burberry like other designers and shops as Calvin Klein to be more compassionate and stop using real fur anymore.

Friday june 15th a PROTEST was held in front of the Burberry shop in a posh Tokyo shopping street. 15 activists, a team of three beautiful naked Peta girls, tv crews and photographers made this another succes.
It's this kind of demo's that fur shops, and other animal abusing companies really hate, and which put so much pressure on them that often they decide for a more animal friendly policy.

Anybody who did join the protest, and anybody who supported the protest by sending a protest email to Burberry or Kentucky Fried Chicken, THANK YOU!

Both protests appeared in newspapers around the world such as in India, Philipines, Japan, Australia.

Sunday june third was the vegetarian Alishan Food Carnival at the Alishan Cafe in Saitame-ken near Tokyo.  
The weather was perfect this day and the event was visited by many people who enjoyed the food , the music and the great atmosphere that day.
